CHISLEHURST ARROWS 2 CROYDON ATHLETIC A 4
Athletic reached the League Cup final with a superb display and beating another A Division side on route.
Following their epic against Glebe Lions, a tight game saw the deadlock broken with a superb free kick by Jake O'Brien which flew into the top corner.
This meant Chislehurst had to attack, which left them vulnerable at the back and it was soon 3-0 with great goals by Jamel Johnson and then Rex Cobham.
Chislehurst pulled one back right on half time with a controversial free kick.
Fired up Chislehurst attacked at the start of the second half, but the defence marshalled by man of the match William Dumbili and Jason Akiotu held firm with Ross Sutton in goal very calm and confident.
Chislehurst pulled another goal back, before William was substituted following an injury. Ryan Green came on and played superbly to keep Chislehurst out.
Rex, who had run his socks off was then rested and Samuel Ibegbulam came on and scored the crucial 4th goal with 2 minutes left, following a fine through ball by Tarik Maizi, who played his best game for the team.
Shaun McGrath was the un-used sub as the whole 10 players grouped together and won a place in the Tandridge League Cup final against Coulsdon Athletic, also from the B Division.
Now attacking a League and Cup Double, Athletic and Coulsdon have proved how strong the B Division is and an exciting final awaits both teams.
WELL DONE RAMS- EVERYONE IS PROUD OF YOU.
