Scouser Ern will retire from his role next season as referee and match co-ordinator for cafc Juniors.

I will continue with all commitments until the end of the season, but will referee my last game on 18th May v New Beckenham for the Under 10's.

There are many reasons for my decision, but my main one is that after 6 years in the role I would like to take time out and actually watch my sons play footie- particularly as one will now be at Under 15 level, and close to the end of his junior career.

Any parent who wishes to take over the role is more than welcome and I will still be around to offer my support.
